Born and raised in Saudi Arabia before eventually landing in Alaska, Mo found her stride early—running paved the way to Sacramento State, where she competed at the collegiate level and met her husband, a fellow teammate. A mid-distance powerhouse, she’s currently chasing new goals in the 800m—and testing the waters in the 400m hurdles.

As a certified women’s health nurse practitioner and founder of GynSport Lab, she specializes in reproductive health for female athletes, with a focus on REDs and contraception. Mo coaches with a whole-person approach, championing process over outcomes and meeting athletes exactly where they are. Known as Coach Mo, Dr. Mo, or Mama Mo, she’s a Sagittarius firecracker—a visionary, fierce advocate, and proud mama of two amazing kiddos, who remain her greatest joy and motivation.

How I Coach

✔ Every Runner is Unique
Female athletes are not small men—and no two runners are the same. I coach based on each athlete’s unique physiology, history, and goals, meeting them where they are and guiding them toward their own definition of success.

✔ Running Free
Running in its purest form should feel freeing and fun—not like an obsession. When running starts to feel like a chore and monotony takes over, creativity in training becomes essential. I coach with an emphasis on keeping workouts engaging and varied, helping athletes reconnect with the joy of movement while building strength, speed, and resilience.

✔ Recovery, Strength & Fueling First
Sometimes, the most impactful parts of training don’t involve running at all. Strength training, proper nutrition, and recovery habits are foundational—not optional. These require intention, structure, and daily discipline, but they’re often what make or break consistency, health, and long-term growth.

I love when an athlete I’m working with has that moment of clarity—that it’s not just about running fast times. It’s about showing up for themselves, uncovering grit they didn’t know they had, and realizing that what they practice on the run prepares them for life. That’s the magic sauce.
